Big Success for the 1st Annual AACPS Computer Science Showcase
(L and R) Rick Williams and Rob Samson-Krebs of LAN Line Games. (Center) Joe Barsin of CAT-South’s Gaming and Simulation Program
CAT-South’s Gaming & Simulation and LAN Line Games were on hand to answer student and parent questions at the first AACPS Computer Science Showcase.
Highly engaging activities and presentations from the NSA K-12 Team, National Cryptologic Museum Foundation, National Cryptologic Museum, LAN Line Games, UMBC Center for Women in Technology, University of Maryland Robotics, and student groups from CAT-South, Crofton, Meade, North County and Arundel High Schools made it IMPOSSIBLE to explore everything in a 2-hour long period.
Thank you to Arundel High School for so warmly inviting us in and providing everything necessary for hosting a large event like this. Thanks to the AHS student organizers Shehreen Alam, Ritika Pokharel, and Tatianna Lawrence (Meade) for her super fun crypto scavenger hunt. Special thanks to Justin Serota, AACPS Resource Teacher for organizing the Showcase!
